The Platycerium box  is named after the latin for a species of fern which lives in tropical rainforests. It is an epiphyte, growing on the surface of another plant or tree obtaining it’s moisture and nutrients from the surrounding air. Here the reimagined fern has settled on a manmade form and slowly begins to envelope it.
